totems and other things we love

we play a pretty serious game of frisbee i tell ya.  we explored sitka today.  we walked over to totem park and played some frisbee in that great open field with the glorious totem in the middle.  it's funny to me, every time we've "tour guided" new people to sitka they are so amazed by everything, the xtratuf boots, the wooden houses, the chapels, harbors, totems, fish jumping, everything.  it makes me wonder why we as human (said : uman) beings often take the beauty around us for granted.  it made me want to soak it all the beauty everyday in sitka, to replace the often "i'm tired" that escapes my lips to "how beautiful".  there is beauty in everything, just not everyone sees it.  at my funeral i want people to say that i never took off those rose colored glassed i found in sitka. you know the ones with the big frames.  we have a pretty dang good life we live around here, and good company always makes my heart melt.  today was a very good day.  xoxo from the girl with the melted heart
