today was a slow cruise ship day, a little depressing but there is always tomorrow!! we have the day off tomorrow! weather permitting we're going to do some major exploring. i wanna see the starfish, i hear there are starfish four feet big and all sorts of colors. i can't wait. today while working in the store a newsie came in (there are real life newsies in sitka, paperboys go arounds selling headlines) anyway, he came in asked me a couple of questions i answered he turned to leave got about 2 feet and turned around and asked hopefully if a spencer was working. i told him YES! and i went and got spencer from the back room. turns out spencer made friends with this cutest little newsie a couple of days ago, he wanted to show spencer some of his home made wood carvings. he is the cutest little thing in the world. he was asking if we needed him to give our coupons with his paper and just wanting to help out so much. i just fell right in love with him. he's our new newsie that we're going to buy our paper from now, we buy on wednesdays because that's when they print the coupons for groceries so we don't have to spend 8.00 on a box of cereal or 6.50 for a gallon of milk... you get the picture groceries are super expensive and the worst part is that oreo's are 10.00! off to play mario with spencer, who earned a 3.75 gpa this semester!!! i am so proud of my man, i sure love this life we're living.

$10.00 for Oreos, well thats a good diet. Who wants to spend that kind of money on junk food.
yahoo for 3.75! well this post sealed the deal there is no way we can come with those prices (or we will just pack in our own oreos).
